What are Woodsland Doors made of? What types are available?
Woodsland Doors are engineered from environmentally friendly materials and manufactured on modern production lines. We offer two primary product families:
- Fire-Rated Doors
- Interior/WC Doors
Surface and core options cover MDF, natural wood, and wood-look polymer finishes (e.g., PVC), with decorative surfaces in Melamine, Laminate, or natural Veneer.
How are Woodsland Doors Fire-Rated constructed?
- Fire-resistant materials: Magnesium Oxide (MgO) boards (up to 1,200°C resistance), mineral wool (non-combustible).
- Core frame: Engineered solid frame using finger-jointed laminated wood and/or LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) for strength and dimensional stability.
- Panel & finishes: MDF substrate with Melamine, Laminate, or Veneer decorative surfaces.

How are Woodsland Doors Interior/WC constructed?
- Acoustic & thermal core: Honeycomb structure with enclosed air chambers that effectively dampen sound transmission and moderate heat transfer.
- Core frame: Finger-jointed laminated wood and/or LVL for rigidity and load-bearing performance.
- Panel & finishes: MDF substrate with Melamine, Laminate, Veneer, or PVC surface options.

Materials & Performance — Quick Guide
MgO (Magnesium Oxide) Board
An engineered board made from magnesium oxide with fiberglass and mineral fillers. Classified at the highest international fire rating (A1), non-toxic smoke, and non-propagating flame behavior. MgO’s intrinsic properties (melting point ~2,852°C) help delay fire spread, buying critical evacuation and response time.
Typical uses: door cores for fire doors, fire dampers/ducts, fire partitions, ceilings, and walls; ideal for buildings requiring stringent fire safety.
Finger-Jointed Laminated Wood
Multiple solid wood strips bonded with high-grade adhesives under pressure to form a stable, strong panel or frame. The uniform structure significantly reduces warping/shrinkage versus single-piece solid wood.
LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)
Thin wood veneers bonded with grains aligned in one direction and hot-pressed. The homogeneous structure disperses natural defects, yielding superior directional strength, stiffness, and stability.
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)
Wood fibers from hardwood/softwood blended with resin and additives, hot-pressed to a consistent density panel. Excellent machinability and smooth surface for finishing systems.
Melamine Surface
A durable, thin decorative film laminated to MDF/HDF/PB, offering hard-wearing, easy-clean, colorfast finishes.
Laminate Surface (HPL/LPL)
Multi-layer decorative surface made by pressing base paper, décor paper, and overlay at high temperature/pressure, then bonded to a wood-based substrate. Highly resistant to abrasion, impact, heat, and moisture; vast design palette.
Veneer Surface
Sliced natural wood applied over MDF/HDF/particleboard for authentic grain and premium aesthetics at a more efficient cost than solid wood.
PVC Surface
Polyvinyl chloride decorative film offering moisture resistance, easy maintenance, and diverse wood/stone patterns at attractive cost.
